Auditory review proposes AMPET to help solve methods gap in field
MRI is noisy which is challenging for those who study audition. James Lewis and I propose a novel auditory model for object perception that takes into account both bottom-up and top-down elements. For the latter, how we embody these sounds and how we interact with auditory "objects" affects how we perceive and even what we consider an object. In the future directions section, we propose devices like AMPET could help refine our understanding of embodied cognition by allowing subjects to interact, speak, gesture and more! http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S002839321730163X
